Save the date for the conference Welcome Party starting at 7:30 on Wednesday night at Loyal Nine.

Chef Mark Sheehan has put his own spin on New England cuisine at Loyal Nine, the only Massachusetts restaurant to be nominated for Bon Appetit’s Best New Restaurants List in 2015.  He calls it “East Coast Revival”, meaning a historically inspired focus on local culinary traditions and colonial recipes but with a modern twist. All breads and vinegars are made in-house and ingredients are locally sourced - Sheehan even makes his own sea salt. Food is served on custom pottery handmade by co-owner Rebecca Theris. I hear that the cocktails are very good, and our party will feature some excellent local craft beers. We'll be providing drink tickets and a selection of small dishes; raw oysters will be available on a cash basis. If you're still hungry after all that, I hear good things about the Lone Star Taco Bar right across the street (modern Mexican street food plus mezcals and many tequilas), and the East Side Bar and Grille, Puritan & Company, and Trina's Starlight Lounge (for more cocktails) are nearby.

Loyal Nine is located at 660 Cambridge Street, diagonally across from Mayflower Poultry (you're almost there when you see the sign "Live Poultry Fresh Killed".)

But wait, there's more! In addition to fabulous food, we'll have live music with an emphasis on jazz. The James Hull Band features some of Boston's best instrumental talent. They'll be covering everything from jazz standards, to original compositions, to some fun takes on songs from the world of pop music and more. Led by Australian drummer, James Hull, the incredible lineup features Kevin Harris on piano, Nick Grondin on guitar, and Frank Ojeda on bass.
