Length: Long Talk

Target Level: Expert

Target Audience: Integrator, Developer

This talk will survey practical ideas about the use of the Zope Component Architecture (ZCA), specifically — and use of components in the general case (including use of adapters and schema in JavaScript) — presenting useful and relevant tips, dominant idioms, and warnings related to designing component-based software for use in Plone.  This talk will attempt to survey just enough component architecture to subsequently provoke ideas and questions that may help you write better code for use in or with Plone, and stay sane when you sometimes must drop into pdb.set_trace().
