The Zope/Plone community has tried multiple times to make use of formal workflow standards to drive online workflow processes and UIs, without much success. In this talk Stephan will analyze the situation and try to identify why not. His current company, Shoobx, has finally been successful in creating BPMN-based workflows using Python- and Zope-based technologies, which they extended and which are available for everyone to use. Some of the hard problems that were solved: fully automated UI generation, wizard generation, ability to revert to any point, exception handling, simulations and QA testing. He'll also provide a quick update on what he has been up to for the last 10 years since he presented at PloneConf 2006 Seattle!
