The University of Jyväskylä has used Plone for 12 years. Starting with Plone 2.05, up through 2.1, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0 alpha, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 - they have seen it all. From anxiety to success, from doubt to certainty, and from shiny to perhaps not so shiny, Plone has been there. It has allowed the creation of a wide variety of solutions, from quick and dirty (= through-the-web) to polished, test and behavior driven, mission critical services. Recently the new Plone 5 has emerged from the minds and hands of battle-scarred, but passionate and driven Plone developers.

So far JYU has released not five, but six Plone 5 based sites or services, and the same number of services are waiting to be released. During 2016-2017 they will upgrade their main websites from Plone 4.3 to Plone 5 with a totally new layout and structure. Next autumn content editors will get their hands on the migrated Plone 5 sites.
